First day of school

Anyone else about to start school tomorrow? Well, I am. It very well seems that my days of fun are over. No more sleeping whenever I want, going where I want, and spending my time whoever I want. Even though most people hate school, I for one don't. School is a test itself to see if a person can juggle his personal life and still do well in school. Not to mention that you get to meet new people. Anyway, I believe that you can make any place exciting for you if you just put some effort into it.

I have failed over and over again, and that is why I succeed.

Michael Jordan probably said it best when he recited that quote. We, humans, are always striving to achieve our goals and there will be road blocks along the way. I believe that you can learn so much from any experience -- even a negative one. Imagine life if everyone was able to achieve their dreams...oh wait, you can actually achieve all of your dreams if you have the mind set and attitude for it. I don't think I have ever heard of a successful person who wasn't confident and constantly believed in himself, even when he was down. With all this being said -- believe in yourself because other people won't.

Anyone else pumped up for the start of the NFL season?

With so many teams acquiring new assets in the off season, it should be relishing to watch the season unfold. I for one cannot wait. With Brett Favre back for the 100th time, it makes you wonder if the Vikings can make another splash, or if Tom Brady can bounce back and lead the Patriots to a successful season, with his rival -- Peyton Manning -- right on his tail.

Using pain as motivation

I used to think that pain was my enemy but I was very wrong. Through personal experience, I learned that pain is something that shows us we have to work for what we want. I have never achieved any accolades without having to face pain. If everything was so easy, it would become standard, but because of pain we can separate the weak from the strong -- the talkers from the doers.
